In the meantime, we have two new #VPCLive events coming up this term, international anti-bullying expert, Evelyn Field OAM FAPS, and our very good friends from The Home Education Network. See below for details.

VRQA – Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority
- The VRQA has welcomed a new CEO, and is currently conducting annual client and stakeholder research.
- Parents of an apprentice or trainee can find out more about how the VRQA protects the quality of the traineeship system, bans employers with unsafe working environmentsand stops them from sneaking back into the apprenticeship system.
- The VRQA has promoted new cultural safe resources and reminded education providers about changes to workers covered by the Reportable Conduct Scheme.
CCYP – Commission for Children and Young People
- Blog: In The Spotlight: Child Sexual Abuse Grooming
- The Commission for Children has recently released a new guide to help organisations create culturally safe environments for Aboriginal children and young people. This is a requirement under Child Safe Standard 1, which applies to a range of organisations including schools. Learn more about cultural safety and download the guide.
- One way to help Aboriginal children feel safe and respected is to recognising days of importance. Take a look at the list of significant dates on the Commission’s website. Does your child’s school celebrate any of these days?

VCAA – Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority
- Spark the creativity for the upcoming VCE star in your family! The 2025 Season of Excellence is now open for applications and includes: Top Designs, Top Screen, Top Scribe, Top Class Sound, Top Arts and Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarships.
- The Student Achievement Profile summary is a new record of achievement for eligible VCE, VCE VM and VPC students leaving school without a qualification in 2023 and 2024. It presents a holistic record of a student’s achievements during their senior secondary education and complements the existing Statement of Results.
- In case you missed it, the Victorian Curriculum F–10 Version 2.0 is now live! The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) recently released additional English curriculum resources. This new selection of templates and resources have been created to support educators in delivering English across all levels of the revised F–10 Curriculum.
- To better understand how familiar parents and caregivers are with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), the VCAA invites you to complete a short 15 minute survey. Your confidential feedback will help strengthen communication and collaboration between early childhood services and families—leading to even better outcomes for our children.
VIT – Victorian Institute of Teaching
- To support the induction process and deliver the best outcomes for learners, VIT is pleased to deliver the inaugural Welcome to the Profession Conference for beginning teachers looking to teach in Victoria.
- We celebrate an example of excellence in teaching at Wangaratta West Primary School, whose leadership team demonstrates how establishing confidence and capability with collaborative planning can have a positive impact on both teacher and student wellbeing.
- We continue to educate teachers on the expectations and standards set out in the Victorian Teaching Profession’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and our latest regulatory decision delves into how a teacher’s personal conduct can impact their registration.
