For 65 years now, VPC has worked tirelessly with Victorian school parents. Our continued existence is a testament to the hard work and support of parents, schools, and parent associations across Victoria.
We are a not-for-profit, ACNC registered Charity Organisation driven by the commitment of a small group of volunteers.
You can be involved as a parent, guardian, school, educator or business; we love to collaborate with all those who are passionate about supporting children through education, from babies through to adulthood and beyond.

Dear VPC Community,
Registrations for our RE-ENGAGING IN EDUCATION – FORUM are now open!
Join us on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, at 7 pm for our #VPCLive event. Our distinguished panel will discuss pathways and educational alternatives to support students with school attendance challenges, including School Refusal, School Can’t, and School Avoidance. The panel includes parents, educators, psychologists, researchers, and government agencies.
The VPC advocates for parental choice in education and acknowledges that School Refusal may not accurately describe some students’ experiences, and that School Can’t or School Avoidance might be more fitting. These issues can cause anxiety, academic setbacks, social isolation, and family stress, impacting children’s education, mental health and wellbeing.
The Victorian Parents Council recognises the significant impact of school attendance issues and is convening an expert panel to explore various pathways and solutions for affected families.
Please refer to the attached flyer for speaker details. The event will end with a Q&A session.
