#VPCLive Ep88: Victorian Pathways Certificate and VET

More options for your child in years 10 to 12

📅 19 Aug 2026🕢 7:30pm–8:15pm AEST

About this event

Senior secondary education in Victoria has changed. Since they were introduced in 2023, more students each year are choosing new vocational and applied learning pathways for their final years of school.

If you have a child in Year 9 or 10, join this evening webinar hosted by Victorian Parents Council to learn about the new pathways.

The Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) is a flexible Year 11 and 12 course designed for a small number of students who, for a range of reasons, are not able or ready to undertake the VCE (including the VCE Vocational Major).

Suitability for the VPC is based on agreement between the student, their parents and their school. Last year, 5,114 students participated in the VPC.

Join this webinar to hear from the VCAA and the Department of Education about the VPC and learn more.

There will be time at the end of the webinar for your questions.

Your presenterSean Butler — Executive Director, Curriculum, Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Ash Field — Manager, Senior Secondary Pathways Reform, Department of Education.
