#VPCLive Ep87: VCE Vocational Major and VCE VET

More options for your child in years 10 to 12

📅 18 Aug 2026🕢 7:30pm–8:30pm AEST

About this event

Senior secondary education in Victoria has changed. Since they were introduced in 2023, more students each year are choosing new vocational and applied learning pathways for their final years of school.

If you have a child in Year 9 or 10, join this evening webinar hosted by Victorian Parents Council to learn about the new pathways.

The VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) is a 2-year applied learning program. It supports students to pursue their goals and aspirations with confidence, and provides them with skills and knowledge for work and life.

Last year, 30,460 students participated in VCE VM studies — nearly 4,000 more than in 2024.

Join this webinar to hear from the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) and the Department of Education about the VCE Vocational Major program and studies, as well as VET in the VCE.

There will be time at the end of the webinar for your questions.

Your presenterSean Butler — Executive Director, Curriculum, Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. Ash Field — Manager, Senior Secondary Pathways Reform, Department of Education.
